About Me
I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I completed my Master of Counselling in 2017 at City University of Seattle (Edmonton, Alberta campus). In addition to my master’s degree, I possess a Bachelor of Education with a Minor in International/Intercultural Education, Elementary Route from the University of Alberta.
I have many years of professional experience counselling clients of all ages — children to seniors in private practices, community, and school settings. I provided counselling (individual, group, and whole class psychoeducation) as a district school counsellor for various districts in BC and Alberta, as well as facilitated children’s groups with Family and Community Services in Alberta.
I also have many years in education, in which I taught children and youth (in Alberta and abroad in Japan), and Newcomers & Adult Upgrading students in Adult Education. So, I have many years of combined experience of both counselling and teaching children, youth, and adults in diverse settings; and I’m excited to finally be embarking on this next chapter, where I’m able to offer my expertise and service through private practice.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, meditation, and enjoy delving into the mystical aspects of life, as well as walking/hiking, photography (especially nature), exploring and travelling, and am passionate about music and dancing. I also highly value connecting with my loved ones, communities, and nature.
